The Hunger Games Prequel: The Hunger Games in 2000s was more than just a popular book or film and was a cultural phenomenon. Before books like Divergent and Red Queen became popular, The Hunger Games had already captured the hearts of young readers and set the tone for YA dystopian fiction. Now, fans are getting the chance to return to the world of Panem in a new and exciting way. A prequel film titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping has just been announced and the first look at it is already making waves among long-time fans. The movie brings a fresh perspective by focusing on one of the most beloved characters in the franchise Haymitch Abernathy.

Originally played by Woody Harrelson, Haymitch served as the mentor to Katniss and Peeta in the earlier films.
