The Agriculture and Cooperative Department, in coordination with each other, has already deposited (stored) all the necessary items in the ‘Primitive Caste Service Cooperative Societies’ of the district. Officials are continuously checking shops and centers to prevent black marketing, hoarding and illegal sale of fertilizers and seeds. Big focus on scientific farming and soil health
Deputy Director Agriculture MR Bhagat has given great information about this. He told that this time fertilizers are being distributed to the farmers as per the advice (recommendations) of ‘Indira Gandhi Agricultural University’. The full emphasis of the department is on the fact that farmers should use only balanced fertilizers as per requirement. To increase the fertility and yield of the land, adopt green manure and organic options as much as possible. For this, the team of the Agriculture Department itself is reaching every village and teaching the farmers the tricks of scientific farming and improving the health of the soil (soil health management).
The number of societies has doubled, now you will not have to make rounds.
The biggest relief the farmers have got is from making rounds of the societies and long queues. The administration has taken a big decision keeping in mind the convenience of the farmers. Bumper stock of fertilizer and paddy seeds has been kept in all the 44 cooperative societies of Jashpur district, which is being continuously increased as per the demand:
1. A total of 9,285 metric tons of different types of chemical fertilizers have been stored in the district. Out of this, 3,681 metric tonnes of fertilizer has already been distributed to the farmers.
2.A total of 6,836 quintals of paddy seeds have been deposited in warehouses for the farmers, out of which 1,872 quintals of good quality seeds have reached the farmers’ fields.
Agricultural Loan: Big help of more than ₹37 crore
The work of providing government loans (agriculture loans) to the farmers of the district to cover the cost of farming and make right investment on time is also going on at a record breaking pace. Till now, a total of 10,187 farmers have been given agricultural loans worth Rs 37 crore 79 lakh 12 thousand through cooperative societies. This loan is divided into two parts. First cash loan (Cash Component), in which ₹ 31 crore 33 lakh 08 thousand loans were given. Second commodity loan (Kind Component), in which material like fertilizer and seeds worth Rs 6 crore 46 lakh 04 thousand was given.
Strict checking by officials, no trouble for those who create trouble
The Agriculture Department has said in clear words that no farmer in the district will be allowed to face any shortage of fertilizer, seeds or loan. For this, a foolproof checking system has been created. All government cooperative societies and private fertilizer and seed selling centers (private fertilizer selling centers) are being regularly inspected. Senior Agricultural Development Officers and Rural Agricultural Extension Officers themselves are in the field and are continuously inspecting every center and keeping an eye on the situation from moment to moment. If any shopkeeper or center in Jashpur district asks for more money from you, hoards it or does any kind of irregularity, then immediately inform it to the local administration or agriculture department officials, so that strict legal action can be taken against it in time.
