Important dates of SBI PO 2026
The process of applying to become an SBI PO has started from today, June 18, 2026. You can fill the online registration form. The last date to fill the form and deposit the fees is 8th July 2026. Sometimes, there may be a problem due to increase in load on the website at the last moment, in such a situation fill your form quickly.
Who can apply for SBI PO? (SBI PO Eligibility Criteria)
1. If you are a graduate from any government recognized university, then you can apply for this post. Whether you are from a professional background like Medical, Engineering, Chartered Accountancy or Cost Accountancy, you are eligible for this recruitment.
2.If you are in the final year or semester of your graduation, you can still apply for this post, but there is a condition that if you are called for interview, you will have to prove that you have passed the graduation examination on or before 30 September 2026.
SBI PO Age Limit
Candidates age should be between 21 to 30 years. Age will be calculated from 1st April 2026. You should not be born before 2 April 1996 and after 1 April 2005. According to government rules, reserved categories will get relaxation in age limit.
SBI PO Exam Pattern 2026: What is the big relief in the exam pattern?
SBI PO Preliminary Examination
This exam will be of 100 marks in which 100 questions will be asked. You will get 1 hour to complete it. The biggest relief for the candidates is that there will be no sectional cut-off. Candidates will be shortlisted for main exam on the basis of overall merit list only. 1/4 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
SBI PO Main Examination
Candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be called for the main exam. On the basis of overall merit of Prelims, approximately 10 times the number of posts in each category, candidates will be selected for Main Examination. There will be negative marking for wrong answers in the main exam also.
SBI PO Interview
Candidates who qualify the main examination will be called for the final stage, which consists of group exercise and interview. Final selection will be done on the basis of marks of main examination and interview.
