A 5 year old innocent boy fell into a well in Bangda Khas village of Kirawali area of Agra. The rescue operation has been going on for 18 hours to rescue the child from the 40 feet deep well. Fire brigade and diver’s team are continuously engaged in rescue work.
A shocking incident has come to light in Agra district. Here in Bangda Khas village of Kirawali police station area, a 5 year old child fell into a well, rescue operation is going on for the last 18 hours to rescue him.
The depth of the well is said to be about 40 feet and it is filled with water up to about 20 feet. The situation is that as much water is being taken out through the pump set, the water from the nearby Khari river is filling the well again. Till now no trace of the child has been found, due to which there is an atmosphere of panic and anxiety in the entire village.
Accident while playing, innocent child fell in the field
According to the information received, village Netrapal was sowing potatoes in his field. Other family members were also present with him. Meanwhile, his 5 year old son Satyaprakash suddenly fell into a well while playing in the field. When the child was not seen, the family started searching for him nearby. Then the scream of the child was heard from inside the well, after which people came to know about the accident. Police and administration were immediately informed.

Fire brigade and diver team on the spot
At the spot, a team of police, fire brigade, PAC and divers are continuously searching for the child. The team tried to remove water from the well by installing a pump set, but due to river water filling the well again, the rescue operation has become very challenging. According to officials, the water level is still quite high, due to which divers are finding it difficult to descend.
The condition of the family is crying badly, there is panic in the village.
After the accident, the child’s family is in bad condition and crying. The villagers are continuously praying for the safety of the child. The stove of no house in the village was burnt. Local people are helping in the rescue along with the administration, while people from surrounding areas are also reaching the spot.
Officials said – every possible effort is underway
Agra administration said that the rescue team is making every possible effort. According to the district administration, efforts are being made to stop the water coming from the Khari river, so that the water level in the well can be reduced and the divers can go down and search for the child. The local administration also said that if necessary, the NDRF team will also be called.
Questions are being raised regarding investigation and security
A question is being raised in the village as to why a security wall or mesh was not installed around the open well, while small children play nearby every day. Villagers say that if the well had been protected earlier, this accident would not have happened. Now the administration has ordered a safety check of all the open wells in the area.
