When will the salary increase in the 8th Pay Commission?
The 8th Pay Commission was formed in November 2025. According to the rules, it has to submit its final report in about 18 months. That means the commission can submit its recommendations to the government between February 2027 and mid-2027. If we look at past trends, after the report comes, it takes 2 to 3 years for the government to implement it on the ground. This means that the increased salary fixed in the year 2027 will start coming into your account completely by 2029 or 2030.
