How is SS Rajamouli’s film Bahubali The Epic?
In the last few years, many Indian films were re-released. Some performed well at the box office while some failed to leave their mark. The makers of Bahubali franchise edited Bahubali: The Beginning and Bahubali 2: The Conclusion to make a film named Bahubali: The Epic, which was released on Friday. In the first part of the film, the same thing is seen which was seen in Baahubali: The Beginning. There was a lot of pace in the first half. The makers edited many scenes to make it more interesting. For example, the romantic part between Tamannaah Bhatia and Prabhas has been explained only through a voice over. There is a slate in the interval of the film, on which it is written – “You don’t have to wait for two years to know why Kattappa killed Baahubali.” The second half of the film is similar to what was seen in Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Here too many scenes have been edited to make it crisp. However, even after re-editing, the runtime of the film is 3 hours 45 minutes. Even after 10 years, when you watch it on the big screen, this film looks fresh. Even today, when Prabhas – Amarendra say the dialogue ‘Baahubali i.e. I’, I feel like clapping. We have seen all the stars performing amazingly in the first and second parts of Baahubali. So Bahubali: The Epic is a gift for the fans of Prabhas, Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Rana Daggubati. However, Tamannaah Bhatia’s fans may be disappointed. His character has been reduced to a great extent. It felt like he had a cameo in the movie. MM Keeravani’s music seems to be doing wonders again. However, most of the songs from the film have been edited and removed. Overall, Bahubali: The Epic proves one thing that watching this film directed by Rajamouli again on the big screen will be a great experience.
