NDA released manifesto for Bihar elections 2025. The main promises include 1 crore jobs, ‘Sita Rasoi’ for ₹10 and equal pay for equal work. Improvements in industrial development, IT hub, health and education are included.
In view of the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) released its ambitious manifesto at a joint press conference at Hotel Maurya in Patna on Thursday. Major issues like employment, industrial development, health and education were at the center of this ‘vision document’ released in the presence of BJP National President JP Nadda, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and all senior leaders of the alliance. The NDA has presented a blueprint for the development of Bihar for the next five years, which includes many big promises.
Main announcements of the manifesto: 1 crore jobs and ‘Sita Rasoi’
- 1 crore jobs: NDA has set a target of creating 1 crore jobs for the youth of the state in the next five years.
 - Sita Rasoi for ₹ 10: To provide nutritious food to the poor and laborers, ‘Sita Rasoi’ scheme has been announced, under which a full meal will be provided for just ₹ 10.
 - Equal Work-Equal Pay: Fulfilling the long-standing demand of employed teachers and staff, the manifesto promises equal pay for equal work.
 - Educational expansion: Colleges of Arts, Commerce and Law faculty will be opened in every subdivision, where students will also get free hostel facility.
 - Simultalla Model: An excellent residential school will be established in each district on the lines of Simultalla Residential School, which will benefit the meritorious students of rural areas.
 
Blueprint for the Industrial and Technological Revolution
The NDA clarified that Bihar will be made industrially empowered on the lines of states like Odisha, Karnataka and Gujarat.
- IT Hub and Semiconductor Units: IT parks and economic zones will be established in the state. Artificial Intelligence (AI) and semiconductor manufacturing units will be established here, which will create high-tech employment opportunities.
 - Defense Industrial Corridor: By constructing Defense Industrial Corridor in Bihar, the state’s share in the country’s strategic strength will be ensured.
 - Promotion of micro industries: Small entrepreneurs will be identified and given quick approval through government loans, technical assistance and single window system, which will bring transparency and administrative simplicity in investment.
 - Local Products: There will be a plan to market local products to the national and international markets through packaging and design units.
 
Promise of comprehensive improvement in health and education
Comprehensive reforms have been announced considering education and health as the basis of development.
- Healthcare: Super specialty hospitals will be established in every district. Apart from this, a promise has been made to provide generic medicines to the patients.
 - Ambulance facility: Veterinary ambulance (for animals) has been announced in every assembly constituency.
 - Teacher Appointment: With the appointment of new teachers, the disparity in their pay scale will be removed.
 - Higher Education: One medical college will be opened in every two districts, so that the level of both medical education and healthcare in the state can be raised.
 
Emphasis on social security and culture
The interests of the workers and artists of the state have also been given priority in the manifesto.
- Registration of workers: Workers working within and outside the state will be registered, so that they can get the benefits of social security and government schemes.
 - Handicraft Markets: Handicraft markets will be set up at every district and block level, where artisans will be able to sell their products directly to the public.
 - Tourism and Cuisine: Stalls of various local cuisines will be set up at tourist places in the state with government support, which will boost both tourism and employment.
