‘Even one mistake of Pakistan will cost heavily’, a big warning from Afghanistan’s Home Minister

Afghanistan Pakistan Tension: Afghan Home Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani has made a sharp attack on Pakistan and warned that if Islamabad brings its problems to Afghanistan, it will have to pay a heavy price.

Afghanistan vs Pakistan Clash: Relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan have once again reached a dangerous point. In recent weeks, violent border clashes, failure of peace talks and a war of sharp statements are highlighting the lack of trust between the two countries. Meanwhile, Afghan Home Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani openly attacked Pakistan and said, ‘The people of Afghanistan may be struggling with internal problems, but they are united against foreign attack. If you bring your problems to Afghanistan, you will have to pay a heavy price.

Big warning to Pakistan

In a speech given at the conclusion of the Firefighting Directorate training seminar held in Kabul, Haqqani gave a strict warning to Pakistan. He said, ‘If you bring your problems to Afghanistan and create chaos here, then this mistake will cost you very dearly.’ Haqqani claimed that Afghanistan may not have long-range missiles or modern weapons, but they have determination and courage. ‘If our tolerance is tested, the response will be devastating.’

Peace talks fail in Türkiye

Efforts to reduce tension between the two countries also proved unsuccessful. Türkiye-brokered talks in Istanbul broke down over disagreements over cross-border terrorism and US drone operations. Now shelling and deaths continue from both sides of the Durand Line and Kabul-Islamabad relations now seem worse than ever.

Haqqani bluntly told Pakistan

Haqqani also took a dig at Pakistan’s internal instability. He said, ‘We have repeatedly asked Pakistan to solve its own problems. Every person should give priority to the interests of his own country and not place hopes on other countries. This statement is being considered as a direct attack on Pakistan’s security policy, especially at a time when Islamabad itself is struggling with the attacks of TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan).

Growing dispute between Taliban and Pakistan

Pakistan has long viewed the Taliban as its strategic ally in Afghanistan. Before 2021, the Haqqani network also had the support of Pakistan’s intelligence agency. But now after Taliban came to power, the same network is speaking openly against Pakistan. According to Afghan sources, the Taliban leadership now considers Pakistan an unreliable partner, which only wanted to use Afghanistan for its own interests.

We want peace, but will not show weakness – Afghanistan

Haqqani also said in his speech that Afghanistan will not give trouble to anyone from its soil, but if anyone spreads unrest from across the border, it will be responded to. He said, ‘If we look at this issue in a legal manner, neither Pakistan nor Greater Afghanistan will be the same as before.’
