Before the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has announced ‘Bihar Industrial Investment Promotion Package 2025’ (BIPPP-2025) to increase investment in the state and provide employment to the youth.
Under this scheme, a promise has been made to provide free land to those setting up industries in the state. Nitish Kumar gave this information on social media platform ‘X’ (earlier Twitter). He informed that this scheme has been implemented after BIADA Amnesty Policy 2025 and its objective is to make Bihar an industrial hub.
Who will get how much land?
According to the Chief Minister, under this new scheme, investors will be given free land on the basis of the following parameters:
Industrial units investing more than ₹100 crore and providing direct employment to more than 1,000 people will be given free land up to 10 acres.
Companies investing more than ₹1,000 crore will get up to 25 acres of land free of cost.
Fortune 500 companies will also be given free land up to 10 acres.
What will those who do not get free land get?
A public advertisement issued by the government states that companies that do not meet the above standards will be provided land at 50% discount on BIADA rates.
How to apply?
To avail the benefits of this scheme, investors will have to apply before March 31, 2026. The state government claims that this scheme will help in providing employment to 1 crore youth in the coming 5 years. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the objective of this initiative is to promote investment and industries in Bihar, make the youth skilled and provide them better employment opportunities within the state.
