Triumph Trident 800 Launched In The UK – Likely To Arrive In India Soon

Triumph Motorcycles has just taken the wraps off its all-new Trident 800 in the UK, adding a powerful new middleweight roadster to its lineup.

The bike will hit UK dealerships in March 2026, and if all goes well, an India launch could follow soon after.

The Trident 800 carries forward the brand’s unmistakable neo-retro look but turns up the aggression a notch. It sports a round LED headlamp with a small flyscreen, a muscular fuel tank, and a sharp, floating tail section. The stepped seat design looks sporty while keeping things comfortable for both rider and pillion. A compact exhaust canister sits neatly on the right side, adding to the clean overall stance. Triumph is offering the bike in three colour schemes: Ash Grey with Diablo Red, Carnival Red with Graphite, and Jet Black.

Powering the Trident 800 is a 798cc, inline triple-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that produces 114 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 85 Nm at 8,500 rpm. Compared to the Street Triple R, power is down by 5 bhp, but torque has gone up slightly, thanks to revised intake tuning. The motor is paired with a six-speed gearbox featuring Triumph Shift Assist, allowing quick clutchless upshifts and downshifts.

Built around a steel perimeter frame, the Trident 800 uses fully adjustable Showa suspension; a 41mm upside-down fork up front and a monoshock at the rear. Stopping power comes from twin 310mm front discs with four-piston radial callipers, offering confident braking. The bike tips the scales at 198 kg, about 9 kg heavier than the Street Triple R.

Tech-wise, Triumph hasn’t held back. The Trident 800 comes equipped with cornering ABS, lean-sensitive traction control, and three riding modes: Road, Sport, and Rain. It also gets cruise control and a Bluetooth-enabled 3.5-inch TFT display that allows riders to access calls, music, and navigation. In the UK, the Trident 800 is priced at £9,195 (around Rs 10.72 lakh). If launched in India, it’s expected to sit just above the Street Triple R, likely around Rs 11.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
