Supaul Assembly Election 2025: Supaul Assembly is a very important seat in the politics of Bihar. This seat was formed after delimitation in 2010 and since then Janata Dal United (JDU) has been continuously dominating here. JDU’s senior leader Bijendra Prasad Yadav won in the last three elections (2010, 2015 and 2020). Now the biggest question in Bihar Election 2025 is whether JDU will win here for the fourth time or the opposition grand alliance will create a new history.
2010 Supaul Assembly Elections: JDU’s first victory
Supaul Assembly seat came into existence for the first time in 2010. In this election, JDU candidate Bijendra Prasad Yadav defeated RJD candidate Ravindra Kumar Raman.

- Ravindra Kumar Raman (RJD) – 39,779 votes
- Margin of victory: 15,400 votes
Note: This victory laid the foundation of JDU’s strong hold in Supaul Assembly.
2015 Supaul Assembly Elections: Defeat BJP
In 2015, again Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JDU) won. This time the contest was with BJP.
- Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JDU) – 82,295 votes
- Kishore Kumar (BJP) – 44,898 votes
- Margin of victory: 37,397 votes
Note: This election proves that the people of Supaul expressed confidence in JDU for the second consecutive time.
2020 Supaul Assembly Elections: Congress defeated
JDU maintained its dominance in 2020 also. This time Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JDU) defeated Congress candidate Minnatullah Rahmani.
- Bijendra Prasad Yadav (JDU) -86,174 votes
- Minnatullah Rahmani (Congress) – 58,075 votes
- Margin of victory: 28,099 votes
Note: The third consecutive victory made it clear that JDU’s position in Supaul is very strong.
Supaul Assembly 2025: Will new history be made or the old one repeated?
This time in 2025 the competition will be even more interesting. The grand alliance (RJD + Congress + other parties) is entering the field with full force, while JDU is working on a strategy to save its stronghold. The question is whether Bijendra Prasad Yadav will create history by winning for the fourth time or the opposition alliance will give him a tough challenge.
