New Delhi: Ducati India has launched the new Panigale V2 and V2 S, marking the debut of the company’s new 890cc 90-degree V-twin engine. However this 2025 model will replace the older 955cc version and represents a major step for Ducati’s twin-cylinder sports bikes, following the legacy of models like the 748 and 959.
Commenting on the launch, Mr. Bipul Chandra, Managing Director, Ducati India, said, It’s not just an update; it’s a completely new motorcycle, offering the perfect synthesis of power, agility, and sophisticated electronics. We are confident the Panigale V2 will captivate riders across the country, delivering an unparalleled experience whether on the racetrack or their favorite winding road.
2025 Panigale V2 details (Engine and Electronics)
The new engine produces 120hp at 10,750rpm and 93.3Nm of torque at 8,250rpm. While that’s around 30hp less than the older Superquadro engine, Ducati says the focus this time is on better control, lighter weight and easier handling. The Panigale V2 S weighs only 175kg (dry), making it the lightest Panigale ever built, while the standard version weighs 179kg.

Both bikes come with a 6-axis IMU-based electronics package, offering cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and a bi-directional quickshifter. The V2 S also adds launch control and a pit limiter as standard, which can be added to the base model as optional accessories. Riders get to choose between four riding modes, including Race, Sport, Road, and Wet, all shown on a 5-inch TFT display.
In terms of hardware, the standard Panigale V2 uses a fully adjustable Marzocchi front fork and a Kayaba rear shock, while the V2 S gets Ohlins suspension at both ends for better track performance. Both variants feature Brembo M50 monobloc calipers and run on Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 tyres, ensuring strong braking and grip.

As for pricing, Ducati has made the new Panigale slightly more affordable. The 2025 Panigale V2 starts at Rs 19.12 lakh, and the V2 S is priced at Rs 21.10 lakh (ex-showroom). This is a drop from the earlier model’s Rs 20.98 lakh starting price.
Both versions come in a single Ducati Red colour and are now E20 fuel-compliant. With its smaller 890cc engine and improved accessibility, the 2025 Panigale V2 aims to compete directly with middleweight sports bikes such as the Yamaha R9 and KTM 990 RC R, offering riders a balance of performance, control, and everyday usability
