This heart -wrenching incident of murder took place at around 10 pm on Thursday night when four youths came to the shop to take non -veg and the shopkeeper refused to give the goods due to the money. The minor dispute increased so much that the youth beat up the elderly shopkeeper to death with sticks.
The whole family was locked in the room and wreaked havoc
The deceased has been identified as Nanuram Khatik (60). He had a small bargain of non-veg outside the house. According to the deceased’s son Vinod Khatik, the attackers were already furious and locked the entire family in the room at the time of the incident. After this, Nanuram was attacked and escaped.
Udaipur police stationed on the spot
As soon as the information was received, Saira police station reached the spot and admitted the injured shopkeeper to a private hospital in Udaipur, where doctors declared him dead. The body is placed in the Morchary of MB Hospital and the process of postmortem is going on. Thanadikari Kishore Singh said that the four accused have been identified and efforts are being made rapidly to arrest them. Initial investigation has revealed that the attackers are residents of neighboring village.
There is a tense atmosphere in the area after the incident. A large number of social people and family are gathered in the hospital and are demanding the arrest of the culprits. The police have started investigation by registering a report of family members.
