Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has taken big and strict disciplinary action amid the tussle over ticket distribution and seats in Bihar Assembly elections 2025. The party has expelled a total of 10 leaders, including the MLA, former MLA, state vice president and general secretary, from the primary membership for six years due to anti-party activities. This action has been taken against the authorized candidates of RJD for contesting elections as independent or rebel candidates or for carrying out adverse activities in their favor. This action is being considered as part of the ‘no tolerance’ policy of RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, who wants to ensure discipline in the party before the elections.
Which 10 leaders was thrown out by Tejashwi Yadav?
According to the office order issued by Rashtriya Janata Dal, Bihar President Mangni Lal Mandal, many important names are included among the 10 leaders who have been shown the door from the party.
- Shri Fateh Bahadur Singh: Present MLA of Dehri Assembly.
- Shri Satish Kumar: State Vice President of RJD.
- Mo. Ghulam Jilani Warsi: Former MLA from Kanti.
- Mo. Riazul Haq Raju: Former MLA from Gopalganj.
- Mrs. Jipsa Anand: State General Secretary, Mahila Cell cum District Council Member (Bhojpur).

Apart from these, Mohd. Syed Nausadul Navi alias Pappu Khan (Bihar Sharif), Shri Virendra Kumar Sharma (Singeshwar), E. Pranab Prakash (Madhepura) and Shri Rajeev Ranjan alias Pinku (Bhojpur) have also been expelled.
Tejashwi Yadav showed strict action on anti-party activities
It has been clarified in the office order that the state headquarters had received authorized information about all these leaders carrying out anti-party conduct, activities and adverse active activities against the authorized candidates of Rashtriya Janata Dal. This action just before the elections is a direct message to the rebels who are trying to harm the party if they do not get tickets.
According to party sources, most of the expelled leaders are either contesting the elections as independents themselves or supporting candidates who are contesting against the official RJD candidates. This decision of expulsion for six years shows that RJD is in no mood to compromise on electoral discipline this time. This major action is likely to have a direct impact on the political equations in many districts of Bihar, especially in Dehri, Nalanda, Kanti, Gopalganj and Bhojpur, where these expelled leaders hold their strong influence.
