According to Saif, the film had a good start at the box office, but later the audience could not support it. He believes that the film should have been made more tightly.

Saif also mentioned the statement of director Sriram Raghavan, in which he had said that more things were added than necessary in the film. Saif believes that despite having many good ideas, the film lost its direction, which weakened its connection with the audience. He also said that the film was a spy thriller ahead of its time and the idea was not wrong, but it could have been presented in a better way.
Lalit Parimu had accused of interference
Earlier, actor Lalit Parimu had said in a podcast that there was a lot of interference from Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor during the making of the film. According to him, director Sriram Raghavan could not get the freedom he wanted to make the film. Lalit said that due to constant suggestions and changes, the original vision of the film was affected and in the end it became a confused film.

Lalit Parimu also said that film is the director’s medium and if the director has a clear vision then the entire team should support him. He said that the artistes’ suggestions are useful only when they are in the interest of the story and the film, adding that changes made merely on the basis of stardom can cause harm.
The film was made with a budget of 60 crores
Agent Vinod was an action-spy film directed by Sriram Raghavan. In this, Saif Ali Khan played the role of a RAW agent and Kareena Kapoor played the role of a spy. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 60 crore. But the film was a flop at the box office.
