Bhopal. A big good news has come for the players of Madhya Pradesh. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav is going to take important steps to strengthen the future of the talented players of the state. The state government has decided to restart the direct recruitment process of excellent sportspersons in the police department. For this, the Home Department has made important amendments in the ‘Madhya Pradesh Police (Appointment of Excellent Sportspersons) Rules, 2021’. Notification of these amendments has been issued on June 15. The government says that through the new rules, the selection process, eligibility and evaluation system has been made more transparent, systematic and effective.
MP Sports Jobs: Now players will not have to go to other states for jobs
After the implementation of the new rules, players of Madhya Pradesh will not have to turn to other states to get government jobs. They will get the opportunity of direct appointment under Madhya Pradesh Police in their own state. The government has made a provision for recruitment to 10 Sub Inspector (SI) and 50 Constable posts under sports quota. This initiative of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will not only provide respectable employment to the players but will also strengthen their sports training and competitive preparations. The Home Department has also clarified that the recruitment process from sports quota will be conducted regularly every year, so that players can get permanent and structured opportunities. MP Police Direct Recruitment Rules: Major changes in the recruitment process
According to the revised rules, the Police Headquarters will issue advertisement of vacancies for the posts of constable and sub-inspector every year. Now not only medal winners, but players participating in Olympics, Asian Games and Commonwealth Games will also be eligible for direct recruitment. Excellent players will be given complete relaxation in prescribed educational qualification and physical parameters like height. Apart from this, they will also be exempted from written examination and Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The special thing is that these players will not be appointed under any reserved category but in the general category.
Sports Quota Eligibility: Players of which sports will get benefit
The government has clarified that only those sports disciplines will be recognized which have been part of the last three Olympic Games. While preparing the merit of the players, priority will be given to the level of competition. If two players have equal points then achievements in Olympics, Asian Games, World Cup and other international competitions will be given priority. After this, seniority will be decided on the basis of age.
SI Recruitment for Players: Who can become Sub Inspector
Only those outstanding sportspersons who have participated in international competitions like Olympics, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Cup or World Championship will be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector (SI). Players who have won gold, silver or bronze medals in these competitions as well as the players who participated will also be considered eligible for recruitment.
Constable Recruitment for Players: What will be the eligibility for the post of constable?
Players who fulfill the prescribed eligibility for the post of Sub Inspector will also be automatically eligible for the post of Constable. Apart from this, players who have won gold, silver or bronze medals in national games will also be able to apply for the post of constable. Players who have won medals in authorized national championships will also get an opportunity to participate in this recruitment process. The state government believes that this decision will not only provide better employment to the players, but will also play an important role in promoting sports talent in the state and motivating the youth towards sports.
