Manchu Manoj’s Celebrates 21 Years In Cinema, Announces New Film Titled David Reddy

Telugu actor Manchu Manoj, who was last seen in Bhairavam, has taken to social media to announce his new film titled David Reddy. The announcement comes on the day Manchu Manoj marks 21 years in the Telugu film industry.

David Reddy, is said to be an intense historical high octane action drama. The makers revealed that the story is set in the 1897-1922 timeline. Based on the pre-look poster, it tells the story of a man who was born in Madras Presidency, raised in Delhi, and fought against the British.

Taking to his social media Manoj expressed gratitude to his followers who had supported him and enabled him to reach this milestone in his film career, Manchu Manoj said, “With a heart full of gratitude… Today marks 21 years of my journey in cinema. I feel truly blessed to be still doing what I love. And with the same love and hope, sharing my 21st film titled #DavidReddy.”

Manchu Manoj also shared a poster with the announcement. The poster had the caption, “Born in the Madras Presidency, Raised in Delhi. Now, shaking the British empire. Rebellion begins…”. The caption gives the impression that the story of the film will revolve around India’s struggle for freedom.

It has to be noted that Manchu Manoj, made a comeback to Telugu cinema with director Vijay Kanakamedala’s action thriller Bhairavam after a period of nine years. Expressing his admiration for fans, in an event he said “I haven’t done anything for you. I haven’t given money to you. I have been away from you for nine years. Yet, you all have been showering so much love on me. You have shown so much love by remembering the films I did several years ago. Everywhere I go, on X and on social media platforms, fans keep telling me, ‘Anna, please make a comeback. Please do films again.’ I don’t even know how to thank you all. I should thank you through the film itself.”

“At a time when one’s own relatives distance themselves from you, you have drawn me close to you and given me so much of love. You are the reason why my heart is so brave. I bow to everyone who has given me so much love,” Manchu Manoj had said.
