The gang rape case with a student at Law College, Kolkata has shook the entire country. As the investigation of this case is moving forward, new revelations are happening every day. Police investigation has so far revealed that the main accused Manjit Mishra was synonymous with terror and panic for the last decade.
Alam was that girls would be scared and changed their path after seeing her in the college campus. There are several cases registered against him in different police stations of West Bengal. More than 15 girls have become victims of him, who are silent due to political influence.
The black misdeeds of the main accused Manjit Mishra were revealed when the incident of gang rape with a student in the security guard room of the college campus took place on June 25. He and two of his friends were arrested in this case. Now a medical report has come out in this case, in which surprising revelations have been made. The medical report has given clear indications of forcibly having sex with the victim. Along with this, marks of cutting and fresh scratches have been found on the body of the accused. According to police sources, these are the same marks that the victim gave to the accused during the protest.
After the incident, Manjit spoke to Vice -Principal
A senior police officer said, “The scratches and bruises found on the body of Manjit Mishra are clearly evidence of the victim’s resistance.” The SIT investigating the case searched the call detail records of the accused, in which the fact was revealed that the next day of the incident, Manjit had spoken to Dr. Nayana Chatterjee, Deputy Principal of the college. The police officer said, “We have questioned Dr. Nayana Chatterjee twice. We have to know in which context after the incident this call was made.” The police is now investigating the details of this call in detail.
Police remand of the three accused increased till 8 July
Apart from the main accused Monojit Mishra, two other accused Jab Ahmed and Pramit Mukherjee were arrested on 27 June. Earlier, their four -day police remand was given, but on Tuesday, Alipur court has extended the remand of the three on the appeal of the police till 8 July. The fourth accused Pinaki Banerjee, who was the security guard of the college at the time of the incident, was also arrested on Saturday. His custody has also been extended till 4 July. Police say that many links are yet to be added in this case. This is the reason why the police demanded his custody.
Hundreds of lawyers entered court, two parties demand
During the hearing in the court, the lawyers of the accused said that their clients are fully cooperating in the investigation. Want to help in bringing out the truth. He also demanded that the media trial be avoided and there should be no hurry to convict the accused. The lawyers also requested that they should be allowed to stay together during interrogation and in the investigation of crime scene. During this time there was an uproar in the court when hundreds of lawyers entered the court room without permission. There was a sharp debate between two groups. One side was demanding severe punishment, the other was conducted in a fair investigation.
Important disclosure from CCTV footage of medical store
Another important evidence has come out during the police investigation. CCTV footage of a medical store has confirmed that accused Jab Ahmed bought an inhaler for the victim. This inhaler is also mentioned in the victim’s complaint. He had said that when his condition deteriorated during the gang rape, he had asked for an inhaler, which later brought the jab. But after taking the inhaler, the victim was again physically and mentally tortured. The police is also interrogating the owner of the medical store. The police is also investigating whether more people were involved in the gang rape, who were not arrested.
Manojo molested another student in the trip
Along with this, another girl has sensationally accused the accused Manjit. In an exclusive conversation with India Today, the victim claimed that Manjit had molested her during the college trip two years ago. When he protested, he was not only assaulted, but also threatened to kill the whole family. The victim said, “We had gone on an educational trip from the college. Initially everything was normal, but Manjit started doing objectionable acts. First staring, pornography and finally started touching as soon as they got a chance.”
The victim’s claim has become 15 girls hunting
The victim student said, “I wanted to complain, but the college administration suppressed me. He said that Manjit has the support of an MLA. He is also the head of the governing body. Everything runs at his behest.” The student told that the accused had special status in the college. On complaining, the victims were convicted. It was also told that many times the complaint was given in writing, but no action was ever taken. She claimed that she is not alone, but at least 15 more students in college have fallen victim to the dirty antics of Manjit Mishra.
