In the review of Ayodhya Master Plan 2031, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Ayodhya should be developed as the spiritual capital of the world by making it a confluence of grandeur, faith and modernity. There will be special focus on environment, culture and employment in the plan.
Lucknow. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday reviewed the proposals related to Ayodhya Master Plan 2031. He said that the development of Ayodhya should be a confluence of grandeur, faith and modernity. He said that the objective of the master plan is to establish Ayodhya as a well-organized, sustainable and spiritual capital of the world. Cultural identity, religious dignity and environmental balance should be given top priority in development work.
Ayodhya Vision 2047: A center of knowledge, celebration and spirituality
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that under Ayodhya Vision 2047, the city will be developed as a global spiritual city, knowledge city and festival city. Here the outline of a city based on pilgrimage friendly infrastructure, diverse tourism, heritage walk, green energy and solar energy is being prepared. Yogi said that this scheme will become the foundation stone of sustainable development of Ayodhya.
Land Use and Population Planning
It was told in the meeting that the aim of Ayodhya Master Plan 2031 is to make the city a global spiritual and tourism destination. Balanced land use has been decided by dividing the Ayodhya development area into 18 zones. Keeping in mind the estimated population of 23.94 lakh, the land use is proposed as follows:
- 52.56% residential
- 5.11% commercial
- 4.65% industrial
- 10.28% public use
- 12.20% transportation
- 14.31% green and open areas
CM Yogi Adityanath directed to increase mixed and industrial land and reserve land for various activities on Panchkosi and 14 Kosi Parikrama Marg.
New direction of development of Ayodhya
At present the population of Ayodhya is about 11 lakh, which can reach 24 lakh by 2031 and 35 lakh by 2047. In view of this, facilities like new residential township, grand entrance, multi-level parking, 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg, greenfield expressway, ring road, airport, temple museum, solar power plant and hotel are included in the plan. CM Yogi said that all these projects will make Ayodhya smart, safe and self-reliant.
Employment will increase with investment of Rs 8,594 crore
159 investment projects have been approved in Ayodhya development area, in which investment of Rs 8,594 crore is possible. Chief Minister Adityanath said that these projects will create new employment opportunities for the youth and give a new impetus to the regional economy.
Emphasis on modern transportation and environmental protection
Yogi Adityanath said that Ayodhya has excellent connectivity by road, rail and air. He said that parking along with bus and truck stands should be developed on Lucknow, Prayagraj, Gonda and Ambedkar Nagar routes.
Instructions have also been given in the master plan to reserve land for sewerage treatment plant (STP) and solid waste management. CM Yogi said that local and indigenous models should be promoted in these works.
Ayodhya becomes a confluence of faith, beauty and prosperity
Yogi Adityanath said that the development of Ayodhya should become an inspiring example from the economic, cultural and social point of view along with religious tourism. Every project should be environmentally sustainable and the banks and green belts of the Saryu River should be protected. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Ayodhya is not just a city, it is a symbol of the soul of India. It should be made a confluence of faith, beauty and prosperity for the coming generations.”
He warned the officials not to allow unplanned plotting or settlement, all work should be done in a planned manner and as per the rules.
