Kate Middleton and Prince William are celebrating their 13th wedding anniversary on Monday (April 29th). Marking the special day, the Prince and Princess of Wales have shared never-before-seen photos of them.
The photo that was captured by photographer Millie Pilkington on their wedding day, showed the couple dressed as bride and groom. In the black and white photo, the couple is looking stunning in their wedding attires; Kate is wearing her Alexander McQueen wedding gown. Meanwhile, William who is standing behind his wife, is wearing a military uniform.
Sharing the photo on the official social media handle of the couple, they wrote, ”13 years ago today!”
The couple has been going through the most challenging time after Kate’s cancer diagnosis. While Kate continues to stay away from the limelight, William has continued his royal duties and has been spotted at several public events.
Kate and William’s wedding and love story
Kate and William got married on 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey in the presence of 2,000 guest. The wedding of Prince William, who is the first heir to the British throne, with Catherine was a significant occasion in the history of the British royal family.
The couple met at the University of St Andrews in 2001, and started dating after a brief period of friendship. The couple are parents of three children: Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 6.
Kate’s cancer diagnosis
It has been a challenging couple of months for Kate, William and the entire royal family. In March, Princess revealed that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is receiving preventative chemotherapy.
In the video released on the official social handle of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Kate praised William for being on her side during the tough times.
”Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance, too,” she said. It has not been revealed what kind of cancer she has been suffering from.
