Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Govind Singh Rajput has informed that the process of ensuring the identity of the eligible beneficiaries included under the National Food Security Act is going on to ensure the beneficiaries to distribute ration to the real beneficiaries. He has informed that after getting the remaining beneficiaries eKYC and after verification of dead and ineligible and untouchable beneficiaries, instructions have been given to run a special campaign from July 1 to 15 to remove their names.
Ration will be available after doing EKVC
It is worth noting that so far 4 crore 75 lakh 66 thousand beneficiaries have been done out of total eligible beneficiaries 5 crore 32 lakh 42 thousand. In these, the names of 2 lakh 36 thousand beneficiaries have been deleted. Out of these, 54 lakh 40 thousand EKYC is yet to be done. In the month of June, a provision of ration distribution has been made after EKYC to the remaining families from EKYC to conduct EKYC within a time limit set by the Government of India.
The government gave these instructions to the collectors
Instructions have been given to the collectors to impose duty of ward in-charge/panchayat secretary/employment assistant to go door-to-door from EKYC to get the remaining beneficiaries from house to house. The list of remaining beneficiaries from e-KYC will be posted at the fair price shop/Gram Panchayat/Ward office.
This is how arrangements have been made
Instructions have been instructed to inform the available and eligible beneficiaries on the fair price shop or make them aware of eKYC through face athcentic and on the name of the beneficiary’s Aadhaar number, mobile number is flawed and biometric data is not updated and updated data. Ration can be obtained according to the eligible day by the eligible beneficiary on the appropriate price shop.
Control room for monitoring
Instructions have been given to the collectors that the information of the fixed date for verification in the village/ward should be made available to the beneficiaries through various means. For monitoring of EKYC, a control room at the section and district level should be set up, in which information about daily proceedings should be taken by the verification team. Also, the problems faced in doing the eligible e-KYC should be resolved.
