Terror Network Busted In Delhi: The Special Cell of Delhi Police has busted an international terrorist-crime syndicate linked to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). In this action, seven people associated with the network of Pakistani gangster-turned-terrorist Shehzad Bhatti and his associate Ajmal Gujjar have been arrested. The Eastern Range team of Special Cell conducted this operation. According to the police, due to this action, activities related to possible terrorist attacks, supply of illegal weapons and drug smuggling in Delhi-NCR were stopped in time.
What was the purpose of the terrorist module?
Police investigation has revealed that this module was working on instructions received from Pakistan. Its work was to plan terrorist attacks, smuggle weapons and drugs and gather intelligence about possible targets. According to officials, this network used to smuggle arms, ammunition and narcotics like heroin from Pakistan to India through Punjab. After this, they were supplied to various areas of Delhi-NCR.
There were preparations for a major attack in Delhi-NCR
Police say that timely action foiled a major conspiracy. Investigation revealed that the module members had conducted recce of crowded places, important institutions and places associated with religious leaders in Delhi-NCR. The accused had made photographs and videos of these places and sent them to their handlers present in Pakistan. According to the police, the aim of the plan was to create an atmosphere of fear, spread communal tension and create panic on a large scale.
Police reached the network through technical surveillance
Delhi Police had received special intelligence about this Pakistan-backed network. The team then tracked the entire network based on technical monitoring, mobile data analysis and information collected at the ground level. After prolonged surveillance, the police arrested the accused and exposed the activities of the network.

Network used to trap youth through social media
Investigation has revealed that Shehzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar used to contact Indian youth using social media platforms and encrypted messaging apps. They used to lure the youth to earn quick money and profit by getting involved in criminal activities. After this they were involved in arms supply, drug smuggling, espionage and terrorist activities.
Big information was received in May 2026
Special Cell had received information in May 2026 that Shehzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar were planning a major attack in Delhi-NCR. Based on this information, the police increased surveillance and started investigation. Police arrested Mohit alias Yogi near Bhagirath Water Treatment Plant located in Yamuna Vihar. An illegal pistol, four live cartridges and a mobile phone were recovered from him. During investigation of the mobile phone, a conversation with Ajmal Gujjar came to light. During interrogation, Mohit made many important revelations related to smuggling of arms and drugs.
Consignments of weapons and drugs were sent by drone
Investigation revealed that weapons and drugs were supplied from Pakistan to Punjab through drones. After this, members associated with the network, including Anas and Karanvir Singh, used to go to Punjab to collect the consignment and deliver it to Delhi-NCR.
Reiki was done of religious leaders and sensitive places
Police investigation also revealed that the network had conducted recce of religious leaders, public places and sensitive places. Pictures and videos of these places were sent to the handlers sitting in Pakistan. Officials believe that if timely action was not taken, this network could have carried out a major crime or terrorist incident.
Deepak Agarola was running the network even from jail
The investigation also revealed that gangster Deepak Agarola was coordinating the activities of the network through mobile phones from inside the jail. The police are now investigating other members, funding channels and international connections of this entire network.
