Chhath Puja 2025 Surya Arghya: The great festival of Chhath Puja is going on. In this great festival, there is a tradition of worshiping Chhathi Maiya and Sun God. Today is the third day of Chhath. Besides, it is also a scientific and yogic means of connecting with solar energy.
While standing in water, the sun’s rays fall on the body in both direct and reflected ways. Standing in water balances the body temperature and has a good effect on the nervous system. Mental peace and concentration increases during this sadhana. If seen from a spiritual point of view, rivers have been described as goddesses in religious texts. Standing in water is considered a symbol of renouncing ego. This is because water is equal for everyone.
What is recognition?
According to religious beliefs, in the month of Kartik, Lord Vishnu, the creator of the world, resides in water, hence standing in water and worshiping at this time is considered especially virtuous. It is also said that while offering Arghya, water should not splash on the feet. This is the reason why Arghya is offered to the Sun God while standing in waist-deep water.
