Mussoorie Home Stay Death Case: P. Radha Gayatri, a 27-year-old IT professional from Delhi, was found dead in a homestay in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand. Police gave information about this matter on Tuesday. Gayatri was working in an IT company in Gurugram and lived in Kidwai Nagar East area of Delhi.
Had gone to Mussoorie with her husband
According to the police, Radha Gayatri had gone on the trip with her husband Soumya Sricharan. Sricharan also works in the IT sector and is employed in Pune. Both of them had traveled from Delhi to Rishikesh and after this, late on the night of 14th June, they reached Kiana Home Stay located in Tipridhar (Tipri Dhar) area of Mussoorie.
Checked in to the homestay late at night
According to the information, the couple had checked-in to the room named ‘Bliss’ of the homestay at around 11:30 pm. According to the husband’s statement, both of them had consumed alcohol at night. After this he went to sleep at around 3:30 in the morning.
Found unconscious in the room in the morning
In his statement to the police, Sricharan said that when he woke up in the morning, he found his wife unconscious on the floor of the room. He told that Radha Gayatri was without clothes, urine was spread on the floor and blood was coming out from her nose. Seeing the situation, information was immediately given for help.
Police and ambulance reached the spot as soon as information was received
On Monday morning, Mussoorie Police received information that a woman was lying unconscious in the homestay room. After receiving the information, the police team reached the spot with 108 ambulances. The pharmacist who came with the ambulance examined the woman and declared her dead on the spot.
Blood stains and liquor bottles found in the room
According to the police, the woman’s body was found on the floor of the room. During investigation, blood stains were also found on the bedsheet. Two empty liquor bottles and food items were also recovered from the room. Police are investigating all aspects related to the case.
The wedding took place in November 2025
Police said that the marriage of Radha Gayatri and Soumya Sricharan took place on 8 November 2025. Both were originally from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh and were working in the IT sector by profession.
Awaiting post mortem report
The woman’s body has been sent to Coronation Hospital in Dehradun for post-mortem. The police have requested that the post-mortem be conducted by a panel of doctors and the entire process be video recorded, so that the cause of death can be clearly ascertained.
Investigation continues to find out the cause of death
At present the police is investigating the matter and the post mortem report is awaited. Only after the report comes, more clear information regarding the actual causes of death will be available.
