Model law passed for soil conservation, ‘Resolution 007’ a historic victory for soil

IUCN made soil conservation a global priority by passing “Resolution 007” at the World Conservation Congress in Abu Dhabi. This is the world’s first soil protection law model, which was supported by many organizations and countries, including Save Soil.

The proposal was co-sponsored by Save Soil (Ishaa Outreach) and the Global Center for Environmental Legal Studies at the Elizabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University (US), with input from Australia-based soil security think tank, Aurora.
