NTR’s Project Switches to Suriya?

A fresh buzz from the industry suggests that the proposed collaboration between NTR and Tamil director Nelson Dilipkumar may no longer be happening.

According to reports doing the rounds in film circles, the project that was originally planned with NTR has now been shifted to Suriya.

While there is no official confirmation yet, the speculation has gained traction in both Telugu and Tamil cinema circles.

Nelson Dilipkumar is currently busy with “Jailer 2” starring Rajinikanth. He has also reportedly committed to another high-profile project involving Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan.

Before these ventures, however, Nelson was said to have been signed by Sithara Entertainments for a film with NTR.

The latest buzz is that producer Naga Vamsi has now redirected the project towards Suriya, who is reportedly searching for a marquee director for his landmark 50th film.

Industry insiders believe the actor is keen to make his 50th movie a special one, and Nelson’s commercial track record makes him an attractive choice.

Suriya’s 50th film is expected to go on floors either next year or in early 2028. On the other hand, NTR’s schedule is already packed.

After completing “Dragon” with Prashanth Neel, he is expected to move on to Trivikram’s ambitious mythological drama.

With NTR committed to multiple big-ticket projects, finding dat es for a Nelson Dilipkumar film appears difficult at the moment. This has reportedly opened the door for Suriya to step into the project.
