New Delhi: Chief Justice of India (CJI) Bhushan R Gavai has recommended Justice Surya Kant to be appointed as his his successor. He has set in motion the process to appoint the senior most judge of the Supreme Court by making recommendation to the Union government. The CJI will shortly hand over a copy of his recommendation letter to Justice Kant.
