Australia vs England, Perth Test: Pat Cummins has been ruled out of the first Test of the Ashes to be played in Perth. Cummins was the captain of Australia’s Test team. In such a situation, in his absence, Steve Smith will now be seen captaining in the first Test of the Ashes against England. Giving information about Cummins’s exclusion from the first Ashes Test to be held in Perth, Cricket Australia said that he has started running. But have not started bowling practice yet.
Cummins out of first Ashes test
According to Cricket Australia, there is less than a month left for the Ashes series to start. And, Cummins is still recovering from his back injury. It will take at least 4 more weeks for him to start bowling. After this statement of Cricket Australia, it became clear that Cummins will not be a part of the first Test of the Ashes series.
Cummins may return from the second Ashes test
The Ashes series is starting from 21st November, the first test of which is to be played between Australia and England in Perth. Now, since it will take at least 4 more weeks for Cummins to start bowling, Cummins is expected to make a comeback in the second Test of the Ashes. The second Test of the Ashes is to be played in Brisbane from 4 December.
The remaining 3 tests of the Ashes series will be played in Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. The third Ashes Test will start in Adelaide from 17 December. The fourth match of the Ashes, to be held in Melbourne from December 26, will be the Boxing Day Test. The 5th and last Ashes Test will be played in the new year, starting from 4th January.
Smith is captain, this bowler can replace Cummins
After Pat Cummins’s exclusion, Steve Smith will be the captain in the first Ashes Test against England. At the same time, Scott Boland can be seen replacing Cummins in the Australian playing eleven, whose average in home Tests with the ball has been 12.63.
