According to Drik Panchang, the full moon date of Jyeshtha month will start on June 29, 2026 at 03:06 am. The full moon date will end on June 30, 2026 at 05:26 am. Since the Purnima Tithi will be at the time of sunrise on 29th June, hence in the year 2026, Vat Purnima Vrat will be observed on 29th June, Monday.

Easy worship method for Vat Purnima fast
On the day of Vat Purnima, wake up early in the morning, take bath and take a pledge to fast. Prepare materials like Roli, Akshat, flowers, water, incense, lamp, mouli, fruits and sweets etc. for the puja. After this, go to a banyan tree and offer water to it. Offer puja material to the root of the banyan tree and light a lamp. Then circumambulate around the tree by wrapping raw cotton or molly. After this, listen or read the story of Savitri-Satyavan and pray for the happiness and prosperity of your husband and family. Finally conclude the puja by performing aarti.
