US President Donald Trump has rejected all the reports claiming that the Washington administration is planning to give a huge amount of money to Iran for reconstruction. Trump has completely termed these claims as ‘fake news’ and has blamed it on the opposition ‘Democrats’ party. In fact, a media report claimed that the Trump administration is considering creating a big fund of $300 billion to promote investment by global companies in Iran.

Trump’s counterattack on Truth Social

donald trump Denied this news by writing a post on his social media platform ‘Truth Social’. Trump wrote that the story of America giving $300 million to Iran is completely fabricated, which is being spread by opponents. This tough stance of the Trump administration has made it clear that America is currently in no mood to provide any direct financial assistance to Iran.

In fact, according to media reports, this proposed fund of $300 billion was not for making direct cash payments to the Iranian government. Its main objective was to provide investment security and facilities to those global companies who want to enter the Iranian market after the lifting of the sanctions. The report quoted a senior US official as saying that this entire plan was based on the condition that Iran agrees to a final agreement to end all disputes, including the nuclear deal. Europe, Asia, South Korea, Japan and American companies themselves were said to be showing interest in this fund, provided Iran fully follows the rules of the agreement being signed in Switzerland.

Plan for phased relief from restrictions

US Vice President JD Vance had also indicated on this matter that Iran’s access to the reconstruction fund would be possible only if it fully fulfills its commitments. According to the US administration, the phased release of Iran’s frozen assets abroad will depend entirely on the progress of nuclear talks. However, America can take some steps in the form of small financial relief to build confidence initially. Officials have also made it completely clear that ever since Trump, Vance and Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf signed the document virtually, not a single dollar has been given to Iran. America’s main focus is only on curbing Iran’s nuclear program.
