1. Lata Singh: Challenge of IAS officer’s daughter in Nitish’s stronghold
Jan Suraj’s candidate Lata Singh is contesting from Asthawan seat of Nalanda district. Lata Singh is a trained lawyer in the Supreme Court. She is the daughter of former Union Minister and former IAS officer RCP Singh and sister of IPS officer Lipi Singh. This seat has been the traditional stronghold of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, where JDU has been winning continuously since 2005. Lata says that she still has respect for Nitish ji, but through Jan Suraj she wants to give a new direction to Bihar because he is no longer the same as before.
2. Shivani Shukla: London Return Law Graduate, Legacy of Baahubali
RJD candidate from Lalganj, Vaishali, Shivani Shukla is also in the news due to her qualifications. Shivani, daughter of Baahubali leader Munna Shukla and former MLA Annu Shukla, completed her studies from DPS, RK Puram. After this he graduated in Law from Bengaluru and then obtained a Masters degree from the prestigious Leeds University of Britain. Shivani, who is contesting elections for the first time, clarifies that she is contesting from Lalganj as the nominee of Tejashwi Yadav, whom her parents have also previously represented.
3. Shreyasi Singh: Gold medalist MLA, young face of BJP
BJP candidate and sitting MLA from Jamui, Shreyasi Singh is a big name in politics as well as sports world. Shreyasi, daughter of former Union Minister Digvijay Singh, has done MBA from Faridabad after completing her studies from Hansraj College, Delhi. His biggest recognition is winning the gold medal in shooting at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Before entering politics, she was known as a national youth icon. Her presence gives BJP a strong face of youth and women empowerment.
4. Divya Gautam: Masters from TISS, Sushant Rajput’s cousin
Left party CPI-ML has fielded young candidate Divya Gautam from Digha seat of Patna. Divya’s educational qualifications are impressive—she has done her Masters from TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences), Mumbai and is also UGC NET qualified. Interestingly, she is the cousin of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Divya had also succeeded in the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination. She says that her main objective is to bring the issues of education and employment to the center of politics.
5. Komal Singh: In Politics from Tata Group, MBA graduate
JDU candidate from Gaighat, Muzaffarpur, Komal Singh is also in the news for her educational qualifications. After graduating from Delhi University, he obtained an MBA degree from Symbiosis University, Pune. Komal, daughter of JDU MLC Dinesh Singh and Vaishali MP Veena Devi, was working with the Tata Group before joining politics. His high educational qualification and corporate experience is being seen as a modern and capable candidate for JDU.
