President Murmu inaugurated Yashoda Medicity, Rajnath Singh said – the dream of a strong India will come true

President Draupadi Murmu inaugurated Yashoda Medicity in Ghaziabad. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that healthy citizens are the foundation of developed India. Yashoda Medicity will become South Asia’s leading robotics surgery centre.

Ghaziabad, 26 October. Speaking at the inauguration of Yashoda Medicity, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “We are moving towards the India that our ancestors dreamed of – an India that is strong and healthy.” He said that to make India a developed nation by 2047, it is very important for the citizens to remain healthy.

President Draupadi Murmu, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also participated in the program organized in Ghaziabad. The President inaugurated the hospital, while the Defense Minister in his address said that “every effort of ours is dedicated to the health of the poor and the underprivileged.”

“Health for the poor is now a right, not a worry” – Rajnath Singh

The Defense Minister said that the country’s health system has taken a new shape under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Where earlier health was a matter of concern for the poor, now it has become their right.

He said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, 10 crore families are getting health insurance of up to ₹5 lakh every year, and now senior citizens above 70 years of age have also been included in it. Due to this the government stands with them in the role of a protector.

Major center of robotics surgery will be built in South Asia

Rajnath Singh said that Yashoda Medicity has been recognized as the robotics surgery training center in South Asia. This achievement will give a new direction to medical training and technical research. He said that the personal suffering of Dr. PN Arora, Chairman of Yashoda Medicity, gave birth to this hospital, which today is a symbol of the faith of millions of people.

Record increase in medical college and MBBS seats

The Defense Minister said that in 2014 there were only 387 medical colleges in the country, which have now increased to 800.

MBBS seats have increased from 50,000 to more than 1,20,000 in the same period. Also, 22 new AIIMS institutes are being created, out of which 12 are fully functional. He said that when all the AIIMS will start, the health network of the country will become stronger.

Affordable medicines reach every village from Jan Aushadhi Kendra.

Rajnath Singh said that Prime Minister Jan Aushadhi Kendra is providing generic medicines to the general public at affordable rates. Now people from every village are also benefiting from these centres. This has increased the reach of health services to the common people.

At the end of his address, the Defense Minister said that Yashoda Group is making positive efforts in the medical sector and in the coming times this organization will create a new definition of health innovation in South Asia.
