What is the reason for rebellion in JDU?
There was resentment among many leaders regarding ticket distribution within the NDA alliance in Bihar. Many contenders did not get tickets, so they decided to contest the elections as independent candidates. The party feared that NDA’s vote bank might be affected by this, so Nitish Kumar tried to control the situation by taking immediate action.

Interestingly, out of the 43 JDU MLAs who won in the 2020 elections, 23 MLAs had won from the first phase seats. That means the result of the first phase is very important for the party.
