He said that farmers have adopted cash crop production with great enthusiasm. This is the reason that today Madhya Pradesh has reached the first position in the country in tomato production.

Tomato based industries are getting encouragement from PMFME scheme

The Chief Minister said that through the Prime Minister Micro Food Enterprises Upgradation Scheme (PMFME), tomato based small scale industries are being provided assistance on a large scale. This scheme not only limits the farmers to crop production, but also gives them an opportunity to move forward in the field of processing and value addition.
