Every year, Amla or Akshaya Navami falls on the next day of Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month. This year, the Navami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Kartik month is starting on 30th October at 10.06 am. This Navami Tithi is going to last till 10.03 am on 31st October. In such a situation, this year Amla Navami will be celebrated on 31st October. On Navami of Shukla Paksha of this year, the morning time is from 06.32 am to 10.03 am.

Amla Navami Puja Vidhi

  • On this day one should take bath in the holy river or lake.
  • One should wear clean clothes.
  • After this one should go near the Amla tree and clean it.
  • Then the tree should be worshiped by applying turmeric, kumkum and vermilion.
  • In the evening, one should worship the Amla tree by lighting a lamp and circumambulating it seven times.
  • After this, Kheer Puri and sweets should be offered.
  • After the puja, prasad should be distributed and eating food under the tree is considered auspicious.
