In the last moments of the match, a tremendous commotion was created on the field when the match ended in a tie. After this there was a heated argument between the Indian players and the umpires. Why did India A players fight with the umpires?
According to the rules, in case the match was tied, a super over was to be played to decide the winner. But visibility on the field was continuously decreasing. In view of the low light, the on-field umpires were not at all in favor of conducting a super over and wanted to declare the game over there. The Indian players, especially captain Tilak Verma, did not seem to agree with this stand of the umpires. Tilak Verma was seen having a long discussion and argument with the umpires on the field. He wanted the result of the match at any cost and remained adamant on playing the super over.
Initially it seemed that the Indian captain had not been listened to and the team was returning to the pavilion disappointed. Tilak Verma looked very unhappy and dissatisfied with the umpire’s decision. This drama and debate continued on the field for about 5 to 10 minutes. In the face of strong opposition from the Indian players and their insistence to play, the umpires finally had to change their decision. Despite the falling light, the umpires agreed to conduct a super over, after which both the teams once again came on the field to fight for the winner.

Due to which the Indian team had to face second consecutive defeat in this series.
