Toyota Innova Hycross at an affordable price

Toyota is currently working on a cheaper hybrid variant of the Innova Hycross. This model may replace the existing diesel Innova Crysta, which may be discontinued by March 2027 due to stringent emission norms. This new MPV is being designed especially for fleet operators and budget-conscious customers. It is expected to get the same 2.0-litre strong-hybrid powertrain as the current Hycross, which produces 182 horsepower and is known for excellent mileage. Some reports also say that Toyota may also offer the option of flex-fuel engine. This model may be launched in 2027 and its starting price is expected to be around Rs 24 lakh.

New generation Toyota Fortuner

One of India’s most popular 7-seater SUVs, the new Fortuner model has been spotted testing several times in recent months. The design of the new Fortuner will be inspired by the new Hilux. It will see thin LED headlamps, a larger front grille, new bumpers and a more premium exterior. There will be major changes in the interior of the SUV as well. It is expected that the new Fortuner will get modern features like 12.3-inch large touchscreen infotainment system, fully digital instrument cluster, connected car technology and level-2 ADAS.

Toyota will not make any major changes in the engine. The company may continue with the existing 2.7-litre petrol and 2.8-litre diesel engines. Apart from this, the option of 48V mild-hybrid diesel technology will also be available. According to reports, the global debut of the new Fortuner could happen by the end of this year, while it is expected to be launched in India in late 2026 or early 2027. Its price can start from around Rs 38 lakh (ex-showroom) and go up to Rs 60 lakh (ex-showroom).

New generation Toyota Hilux

Indian customers are also eagerly waiting for the new generation HiLux. The company has already introduced the 9th generation HiLux in the global market. It is believed that this model will soon be launched in India also. A full-electric version is also available in the global market, but the chances of it coming to India are less. For the Indian market, the company may offer a new 48V mild-hybrid system with the 2.8-litre diesel engine, which is also used in the Fortuner. The design of the new Hilux will be sharper, bolder and more aggressive than before. The cabin is expected to get dual 12.3-inch screens, advanced ADAS features and better off-road technology. The company can launch it in 2027 and its price can start from Rs 32 lakh to Rs 45 lakh.
