MG Astor Motor India has officially launched the 2025 facelift of the MG Astor, its popular mid-size SUV known for premium features and smart tech. The new Astor gets a refreshed exterior design, new interior elements, advanced driver assistance updates, and several new-age creature comforts. With these changes, MG aims to solidify Astor’s position in the highly competitive SUV segment dominated by Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Honda Elevate.
Bolder Design and New Exterior Elements
The MG Astor facelift now features a sportier front grille with chrome highlights, sharper LED projector headlamps, and a redesigned bumper that gives it a more aggressive road presence. The fog lamp housings have also been updated, while the new 17-inch alloy wheels and LED tail lamps add to the SUV’s overall premium appeal. The rear bumper has been tweaked for a more muscular stance, and MG has introduced new color options, including a striking dual-tone red-black and white-black combo.
Premium Interior With Enhanced Infotainment and Soft-Touch Finish
Inside the cabin, the Astor facelift offers a more refined dashboard layout with a dual-tone theme and improved materials. The 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and MG’s AI-powered voice assistant has been updated with better natural language understanding. The digital instrument cluster has been redesigned, and a panoramic sunroof is now offered in more variants.
Additional features include ambient lighting, a wireless charger, Type-C ports, auto climate control, and ventilated front seats, depending on the trim.
Powertrain Options Remain With Focus on Refinement
The MG Astor 2025 continues to offer the familiar engine options – a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 5-speed manual or CVT, and a 1.3L turbo petrol mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. While the performance figures remain unchanged, MG claims the engines have been re-tuned for improved fuel efficiency and smoother drivability, especially in city traffic.
Major ADAS and Safety Upgrades
One of the biggest updates in the facelifted Astor is the ADAS 2.0 system. MG has improved lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and blind spot detection to work more seamlessly in Indian road conditions. The SUV also offers six airbags, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, hill hold control, and ISOFIX mounts. With these updates, the Astor becomes one of the safest SUVs in its price segment.
MG Astor 2025 Facelift Price and Variants
The MG Astor facelift is priced starting at ₹10.98 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base Style variant, going up to ₹16.88 lakh for the top-end Savvy trim with ADAS and turbo powertrain. MG is also offering special launch benefits and loyalty bonuses for existing customers. Bookings are now open at dealerships and online platforms, with deliveries set to begin across major cities later this month.
MG Astor Facelift Is a Feature-Rich, Stylish Urban SUV
With a bold new look, smarter interiors, upgraded safety tech, and continued emphasis on value-for-money, the MG Astor 2025 facelift is a solid refresh to an already well-equipped SUV. It caters to families, urban professionals, and tech-savvy buyers who want style, substance, and smart features packed into one stylish vehicle.
