For orange layer

  • Saffron threads – 10–12
  • A little milk (1 tablespoon) or
  • Mango pulp-3-4 tablespoons

For white layer

  • Coconut milk or cream – 4 tablespoons
  • Cardamom Powder – 4 Tsp

For green layer

  • Mint paste – 2 tsp or
  • Pistachio paste – 3 tablespoons
  • Green Food Color-1-2 drops

Tricolor kulfi recipe

Step 1: Thick the milk, boil the milk in a heavy bottom vessel and cook on low flame until it remains half. Mix sugar and khoya and keep stirring continuously.

Step 2: Divide into three parts when the milk becomes thick and becomes like a kulfi, turn off the gas and let it cool. Now divide this mixture into three equal parts.

Step 3: Color each part, first part orange add saffron milk or mango pulp to it. Mix coconut milk or cream and cardamom powder in the second part white. Also add mint or pistachio paste to the third part green. If you want, you can also add 1 drop green food color.

Tricolor kulfi method

  • Take kulfi molds (or small ax/bowl).
  • First of all, add orange layer and allow to freeze in the freezer for 30 minutes.
  • Then add the white layer and keep it in the freezer again for 30 minutes.
  • Finally add the green layer and keep the mold completely in the freezer for 6–8 hours.
