A complaint has been filed against 24 named accused including Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath in the fraud case of Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. In this, money was collected from the villagers by luring them with returns.

In this case, villagers were allegedly duped by promising huge returns. The Supreme Court has given interim relief to Talpade from arrest till the investigation continues.
Cheated villagers worth lakhs through chit fund company
24 people, including Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade and senior actor Alok Nath, have been accused in a fraud case registered in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. A complaint by a local resident said that Rural was promised huge returns on his money if he invested in a co-operative society. The name of this company is The Loni Urban Multistate Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society Limited, which reportedly promised villagers attractive returns on their investment.

Shreyas Talpade got relief from Supreme Court
Shreyas Talpade and Alok Nath joined the cooperative society as brand ambassadors. Officials probing the alleged scam are now probing his involvement along with 22 other people. This matter has been going on for some time. In July this year, the Supreme Court issued an interim order granting protection from arrest to Shreyas Talpade until the investigation continues.

Earlier, Talpade and Nath, along with 11 others, were also named in a similar case related to multi-level marketing fraud in Sonipat, Haryana. Shreyas Talpade will soon be seen in the upcoming film ‘Single Salma’, while Alok Nath has often played the role of an elderly person in Bollywood films and is remembered as ‘Babuji’.
More information is expected as the investigation progresses. The extent of involvement of both the actors in this is also being investigated.
