‘So much love amid festivals, this is the strength of Bihar’

Prime Minister Modi said, “I have spent my life in Gujarat, but it is not easy to gather such a big crowd two days after Diwali. I bow my head for your love and blessings. The great festival of Chhathi Maiya is about to begin, yet your coming here in such huge numbers is a proof of your trust and belongingness. The atmosphere of Samastipur, the mood of Mithila, has made it clear that it will go on at a new pace. Bihar, when will NDA government come again?

‘Remembered Bharat Ratna Karpuri Thakur’

In his address, PM Modi paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Jannayak Karpoori Thakur. He said, “Before coming here, I had gone to Karpoori village and paid my respects to Thakur ji. It is because of his blessings that today people like me, like Nitish ji and like Ramnath ji, who come from normal families, are able to serve the country. Karpoori Thakur ji’s role in providing social justice and opportunities to the underprivileged in independent India will always be remembered.” PM Modi said it is a matter of pride for the government to honor him with the Bharat Ratna — “It is a privilege for us to honor this son of Mother India.”
