Many people experience frequent headaches, which shouldn’t be taken lightly. Persistent headaches can be a sign of a serious illness like migraine or high blood pressure.
In such a situation, some simple yoga asanas suggested by Baba Ramdev can be extremely effective in relieving headaches. These asanas not only provide relief from headaches but also calm the mind, improve blood circulation, and reduce mental stress. By doing these yogasanas daily, energy remains in the body and the ability to focus also increases.
Headaches can have many causes. The most common are stress and lack of sleep. Staring at a mobile or computer screen for long periods of time, straining your eyes, and lack of water can also contribute to headaches. Apart from this, excessive consumption of caffeine or junk food, exposure to loud noises or bright light, stiffness in the neck and shoulders or sitting in the wrong position can also cause headache. Sometimes changes in weather, hormonal imbalance and blood pressure problems also trigger headache.

Bhramari
Baba Ramdev explains that Bhramari is considered extremely beneficial for headaches and migraines. While practicing it, take a deep breath and make a bee-like buzzing sound. This helps calm the mind and reduce stress.
Anulom-Vilom
Anulom-Vilom, or Nadi Shodhan Pranayama, increases oxygen circulation in the body and regulates blood pressure. It also reduces fatigue and mental stress.
Sheetali
In this practice, the tongue is rounded like a tube and breathed in through the mouth and out through the nose. This helps lower body temperature and reduces anger and stress.
Sheetkari
In this practice, breathing is done by slightly opening the teeth and inhaling through the mouth and exhaling through the nose. This also cools the body and relaxes the mind.
It’s best to practice these asanas in the morning on an empty stomach or in the evening in a quiet environment. Start with 5-10 minutes and gradually increase the time. With regular practice, significant improvement in headaches can be seen.
