Connolly Gifted his Bike to Litton Das: The 3 ODI series between Bangladesh and Australia has ended. The last ODI of this series was played on 14 June, which Australia managed to avoid a clean sweep by winning by 1 wicket. Bangladesh defeated Australia 2-1 in the 3-ODI series. The hero of Australia’s victory in the last ODI was Cooper Connolly, who contributed to the team’s victory by playing a strong innings of 149 runs while chasing the target of 275 runs. Connolly thrilled the Bangladeshi fans by rocking the bat in the last ODI and then won the hearts of Liton Das by gifting him a bike.

Connolly got a bike in exchange for scoring 184 runs.

Cooper Connolly scored 149 runs in 134 balls, which included 6 sixes and 13 fours. This was also the first century of his ODI career, after scoring which he became the highest run-scorer in the ODI series against Bangladesh. Cooper Connolly scored 184 runs in 3 innings of 3 matches of the ODI series against Bangladesh at an average of 61.33. Cooper Connolly won a bike as an award for scoring the most runs in the series, which he gifted to Liton Das.

Why gifted a bike to Liton Das?

Cooper Connolly’s move to gift a bike to Liton Das was full of sportsmanship. Liton Das had cramps during the third ODI, due to which he was not able to even walk properly. In such a situation, by naming the award he won after Liton Das, Cooper Connolly presented a wonderful example of sportsmanship.

Bangladesh won the series from Australia 2-1

The first two matches of the ODI series were in the name of Bangladesh. Bangladesh had achieved the feat of defeating Australia in 50 over format for the second time after 21 years by winning the first ODI by 86 runs. After that, Bangladesh defeated Australia for the third time in ODI by defeating them by 5 wickets in the second ODI. In the third and last ODI, Bangladesh had a chance to clean sweep the ODI series against Australia for the first time, but due to Cooper Connolly’s amazing century, it did not succeed.
