Bihar Election 2025: Before the Bihar Assembly elections, the picture regarding seat sharing in NDA seems to be almost clear. According to sources, an agreement has been reached between BJP and JDU and a formal announcement can also be made soon.
According to the information received, JDU is likely to get 102 seats, BJP 101, Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) 20 seats.
LJP(R) may get one Rajya Sabha seat
A formula has also been decided to give one Rajya Sabha and one MLC seat to LJP in future. At the same time, Jitan Ram Manjhi’s HAM and Upendra Kushwaha’s RLSP (RLM) may get 10 seats each. However, minor changes in the numbers are possible due to swapping of some seats.
Final seal on seat sharing will be given soon
It is noteworthy that recently Minister Santosh Suman had indicated that the final seal on seat sharing would be given within the next 10 days. He expressed confidence that all the parties involved in the alliance will be given a respectable share and there will be no chance of anyone getting upset. On the ongoing demand regarding Chirag Paswan’s seats, Suman also said that every colleague will get due respect.
Here, commenting on the Patna meeting of Congress, Suman said that Congress has now understood that success in politics cannot be achieved by becoming a hanger-on. He said that after reflection, if Congress has come to “good sense” then it is welcome.
In 2020, JDU had fielded candidates on 115 seats.
Let us tell you that in the 2020 assembly elections, JDU had fielded candidates on 115 seats and BJP on 110 seats in NDA. At that time, Manjhi’s HAM was given seven seats and Mukesh Sahni’s VIP was given 11 seats. This time the equations have changed, but JDU-BJP are still considered the axis of the alliance. A formal announcement on seat distribution may be made soon.
