The contest in Paru Assembly elections 2025 is exciting. BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh is trying for his fourth victory, while RJD and independent candidates are ready to give a tough challenge. Will there be political upheaval this time or will the lotus bloom?
Paru Assembly Election 2025: Paru Assembly Election 2025 is going to be very interesting this time. This seat of Muzaffarpur district is completely rural and the inclination of the voters here has always been giving direction to the politics of Bihar. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has dominated this seat for the last 15 years. Veteran BJP leader Ashok Kumar Singh has won the elections three times in a row. But in 2025, political equations seem to have changed and the competition may be tough.
History of Paru seat and dominance of BJP
2010 Election (Paru Assembly Election 2010)
BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh won by getting 53,609 votes. In front of him was Mithilesh Prasad Yadav of RJD, who got 34,582 votes. BJP won this election by a margin of 19,027 votes.
2015 Election (Paru Assembly Election 2015)
Here again Ashok Kumar Singh entered the fray and registered his second consecutive victory by getting 80,445 votes. This time the contest was against RJD’s Shankar Prasad, who got 66,906 votes. The victory margin was 13,539 votes.
2020 Election (Paru Assembly Election 2020)
Ashok Singh won for the third time. He got 77,392 votes, while independent Shankar Prasad got 62,694 votes. The victory margin reduced to 14,698 votes. Congress candidate Anunay Kumar Singh got only 13,861 votes and stood third.
Important thing: That is, BJP had the upper hand in all three elections, but the victory margin kept decreasing.
Note: BJP leader Ashok Kumar Singh is literate. There are three criminal cases against him. His total assets are around Rs 2.44 crore and he has a loan of Rs 18 lakh.
effect of caste equations
- 1. Yadav, Rajput, Brahmin and Dalit voters play a decisive role in Paru Vidhan Sabha Seat.
- 2. Yadav and Muslim vote banks generally remain with RJD.
- 3. Rajput and upper caste voters are more inclined towards BJP.
- 4. Votes of Dalits and extremely backward classes can spoil the equation of any party.
Important thing: This is the reason why caste mathematics will play a big role on this seat in 2025.
The equation of 2025 – will BJP win for the fourth time?
Ashok Kumar Singh is likely to get the ticket from BJP again, as he has won three times consecutively and is considered popular in the area. Whereas RJD can field Shankar Prasad or some new face. If the grand alliance (RJD+JDU+Congress) contests the elections unitedly, then the path of BJP may become difficult.
big question
After winning three times in a row, will BJP be able to maintain its dominance on Paru assembly seat in 2025 also? Or will the changing caste equation and opposition unity cause a political upheaval this time? This suspense is making this election more interesting.
