The second and last match of the 2-match Test series between Pakistan and South Africa is being played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. An amazing comeback was seen from South Africa on the third day of this match. In response to the 333 runs scored by Pakistan in the first innings, South Africa managed to score 404 runs and took a lead of 71 runs. However, South Africa had lagged behind in this match at one time. But one of their all-rounders made a comeback for the team by playing a brilliant innings.

South Africa’s start in the first innings of this match was nothing special. The team lost 5 wickets for 185 runs only. Then Senuran Muthusamy entered the crease. They batted very carefully, but by the time they reached the score of 235 runs, the team lost 8 wickets. After which it seemed that Pakistan would take the lead in the first innings. But Senuran Muthusamy along with Keshav Maharaj and Kagiso Rabada changed the whole game.
Senuran Muthusamy faced 155 balls in this innings and scored 89 runs. The special thing was that he remained unbeaten, but could not reach a century. In fact, the last two wickets from the other end also fell, due to which he remained standing on non-strike. Senuran Muthusamy hit 8 fours in his innings and achieved the feat of scoring a half-century for the second time in his Test career. During this innings, he added 71 runs for the 9th wicket with Keshav Maharaj. At the same time, he made a partnership of 98 runs with Kagiso Rabada for the last wicket.

Senuran Muthusamy was born in Durban, South Africa, but his parents are Indian. His family is from Tamil Nadu. He lost his father at the age of just 11. But his mother brought him up and made him a cricketer. Senuran Muthusamy’s international career started in the year 2019. He has so far played 7 test matches, 5 ODI and 5 T20 matches for South Africa.
