A speeding Jaguar car crushed people doing Diwali shopping in Rajrooppur, Prayagraj. One person died and six people were injured in the accident. After treatment, the accused Rachit Madhyan was arrested by the police and sent to jail.
Prayagraj. Amidst the excitement of Diwali, a heart-wrenching accident took place in Rajrooppur area of Prayagraj, when a speeding Jaguar car crushed people shopping on the road. The accident was so terrible that a 55-year-old man died on the spot, while six people were seriously injured. There has been a sensation in the area after the CCTV video of this incident surfaced. Unbridled speed and the entire scene of the collision are clearly visible in the footage.
Painful scene seen in CCTV footage
The CCTV video of this accident that took place in Rajrooppur of Dhumanganj police station area has now gone viral on social media. It is seen in the footage that the speeding Jaguar first hits the divider and then hits a biker standing on the roadside. The collision was so severe that the young man riding the bike fell several feet away. In this accident, 55-year-old electrician Pradeep Patel died on the spot, while a total of six people including two cars, two bikes and a scooty were injured. Local people immediately took the injured people to the hospital.

Accused Rachit Madhyan turns out to be the car owner’s son.
According to the police, the driver who carried out the accident, Rachit Madhyan, belongs to the famous Kamdhenu Sweets business family of Prayagraj. Rachit himself was injured in this accident and was referred to Lucknow for treatment. Prayagraj Police arrested Rachit from Lucknow after his treatment was completed. According to the police, a case of negligent driving has been registered against the accused.
Court sent the accused to jail, anger among local people
Police said that at around 10:40 pm on Tuesday night, Rachit Madhyan was produced before the Remand Magistrate. After the hearing, the court ordered to send the accused to jail in judicial custody. After medical examination, the police has sent Rachit to jail.
There is anger in the area since the incident. Local people say that there is a danger to life every day due to vehicles running at high speed on the road. People have demanded from the administration that there should be strict control on traffic in markets and crowded areas during festivals.
