Rebel Wilson is not mincing words with regards to Sacha Baron Cohen’s supposed treatment towards her when they worked together on 2016 film Grimsby.
The actress made a fresh round of accusations saying in an interview that he set out to humiliate her when they worked together. Rebel has been promoting her new memoir and hence has been doing many rounds of interviews.
Rebel accuses Sacha of sexual harassment
Her new memoir is called Rebel Rising and it includes claims that the British actor sexually harassed her on the set of their 2016 film Grimsby, Sacha has denied all allegations. The film’s producers have denied the claims too.
Rebel in a new interview said that she felt “disrespected on set” but kept quiet for fear of being labelled a troublemaker. She said that her weight was given unwarranted attention during filming. She said, “It’s one thing for someone who is fat to exploit their size for comedy, but it’s another for somebody else to humiliate you.”
Rebel said that all costumes in the film were chosen to “see all the cellulite on my thighs and a top to show the fattest part of my arm… like I was something to be laughed at and degraded because of my size.”
She narrated an incident while filming that made her uncomfortable. When Rebel apparently refused to run naked across a football pitch for a scene, a stripper was hired, and she was asked to watch on a monitor.
Meanwhile, Sacha Baron Cohen has rejected Rebel Wilson’s claims about her experiences on the set of Grimsby.
