Mandsaur Lok Sabha seat has been created by combining Mandsaur and Neemuch districts along with some parts of Ratlav. Which includes Jaora assembly of Ratlav, Mandsaur, Malhagarh, Suwasra, Garoth of Mandsaur district, and Mansa, Neemuch and Javad assemblies of Neemuch district. In all these assemblies, except Mandsaur, BJP is in control. Vipin Jain of Congress is the MLA in Mandsaur. If we talk about previous elections, veteran Congress woman leader Meenakshi Natarajan has also contested from this Lok Sabha seat.
This seat has never been dominated by any one party, rather both parties have got a chance one by one. However, since 1989, BJP has established its dominance here. In 2009, Meenakshi Natarajan contested elections from Congress and won. However, after this, BJP has again established its dominance in 2014 and 2019. Presently Sudhir Gupta of BJP is the MP from here.
What happened in the last elections?
