HCLTECH CEO Vijayakumar Salary
C. Vijaykumar, CEO of India’s leading IT company HCL Technologies (HCLTECH), has now become the country’s highest salary head. During the financial year 2024-25, he has received a total package of ₹ 94.6 crore, which is much higher than his counterparts. This salary sits more than $ 10 million, which establishes them as the highest payment IT CEO in the country.
According to media reports, Vijaykumar has earned a total of ₹ 94.6 crore in the financial year of 2024-25. This includes basic salary of ₹ 15.8 crore, performance bonus of ₹ 13.9 crore, long-term stock (RSU) of ₹ 56.9 crore and another separate bonus of ₹ 1.7 crore.
Engineer to CEO becomes Vijaykumar
C. Vijaykumar started his career in 1994 with HCL Comnet, which was then a full -fledged subsidiary of HCL Tech. At that time he joined the team as a senior engineer. He was instrumental in setting up the model of Remote Infrastructure Management of the company. He was part of the company’s early team and since then continued to move towards height.
CEO in 2016, now got responsibility for the second time
Vijayakumar was first made the CEO of HCLTECH in October 2016. Then in July 2021, the company also entrusted him with the responsibility of chairman and managing director, when the founder Shiv Nadar left the post of Chief Strategy Officer.
Now the company has decided that Vijaykumar will remain CEO and MD again from 1 September 2025 to 31 March 2030. However, this decision will be applicable only after the approval of the shareholders, which HCLTECH has given to the stock exchange.
Vijayakumar has studied from Tamil Nadu
Talking about Vijayakumar’s education, he has received a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from PSG College of Technology, Tamil Nadu. His technical and management skills have brought him success at every level of the company.
India’s top it CEO salary so much
HCLTECH CEO Vijaykumar has received the salary as much as the CEO of any Indian IT company was received till now. If you compare with the rest of the companies, then INFOSYS CEO Salil Parekh got ₹ 80.6 crore, TCS CEO K.K. Kritivasan has got a salary of ₹ 26.5 crore, Wipro CEO Srinivas Pallaia got ₹ 53.6 crore and Mohit Joshi of Tech Mahindra got a salary of ₹ 53.9 crore. The salary of TCS CEO has increased by about 4.6% as compared to last year.
